Call for application for Newton Bhabha STEM Teacher Training Workshops is open now.
British Council in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune is organising STEM Teacher Training Workshop to develop Research-Based Pedagogical Tools. These workshops are funded under Newton Bhabha Fund and will familiarise participants with research-based pedagogical tools that focus on the process of science rather than facts. It will be a hands-on workshop with participants preparing their own teaching tools and reviewing those of others. This platform will also provide an opportunity to teachers to interact with counterparts from various colleges and education experts from India and abroad.
Teachers teaching following disciplines physics, chemistry, mathematics, life sciences and earth science in government or government-aided college with either a masters degree with 10 years of teaching experience or a PhD degree with 5 years of teaching experience are eligible to apply.
The workshops take off with an orientation session on 22 Jan 2017 at IISER Mohali. All workshops would be conducted in India.
