Dates: May 13-July 12, 2019 

Purdue Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) is one of the marquee programs of the Purdue-India Initiative. This nine-week summer program in partnership with three Indian Institutes of Technology: IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, and IIT Hyderabad is applicable for  students graduating in 2020, whose CGPA’s are 8 or higher.

Students who have already participated in PURE are not eligible.

Through the program, top undergraduate juniors (or dual degree students who will have one year remaining in their studies) are matched with Purdue faculty to work on summer research projects.

Eligible students: High performing third-year students in BTech or dual-degree programs from IITB, IITH, and IITM.

Below attachment has the  list of participating Purdue departments. Students have the option to apply for the Department, in general and/or for a specific project/projects. Preferences should also be clearly indicated in their statement of interest.

(Note: students who have the adequate background and qualifications may choose to apply for projects/positions in departments other than the one at which they are currently enrolled at their IIT).

As part of the online process, students will be required to submit the following documents           i) a resume/cv, ii) Institute ID card, iii) Academic Transcript or all Individual Score Sheets; iv) Statement of Interest.
Financial Support: Total allowance of US$2800 from Purdue University for the 9-week period
